It's OK (by me)

It's that time again. A time to reflect on what we did a little less then perfect but, who cares!  Shake it off! It's ok! I'm going to play along with airingmylaundry today as I tell you what items/events/activities are OK by me.

Check out her latest post here.

It's OK that my kids have had candy everyday because of Halloween.  The received a lot and the day is coming where they will get tired of it and it will be off their minds.  Never have they ever eaten all of it.

It's OK that my daughter has caught up with that new series Stranger Things.  She put a lot of dedication into watching the first series. She had it playing while she washed the dishes, and had it on constantly in her room.  I'm so proud to see she can make a commitment if she really wants to.

It's OK that I got teary eyed when my daughter begged me to go to her Veterans Day program at school.  I'm glad I went.  We stood up for the branch we represented and there were only two others from the Air Force.

It's OK that we got a new cable box and all those DVR shows I was going to watch are gone forever.

It's OK the store didn't have any bread when I was there.  Hamburger rolls seemed to be a real hit with my youngest. He ate his lunch in 5 minutes and cant wait for lunch tomorrow!

Ahhh, OK just breath! I'm ok! Your ok! It's ok! What's one thing that you now realize is ok?

  1. I love this- what an important reminder to be gentle with ourselves and those around us. Such a patient approach will surely lead to good outcomes. All of those things really are a-okay!

  2. I always tell my self this "it's okay if I am not doing well today, I will work harder next time." I feel motivated when I am hearing myself that. Saying it's okay is another way for me to say I accept and appreciate things that happen. Imagine if you say something like that to others to motivate them and make them feel better. :D

  3. This is something that I have learned recently....I think it is really freeing and also is a gentle way to care for others and ourselves when things don't go as planned.

  9. I really do admire your attitude of feeling secure with your decisions. I need to roll with the punches more often and let things go instead of being anxious.

  10. Great job I really admire you! Anxiety is so easy to have in today's world way to go enjoying everything :)

  12. I love Amber's roundup! I need to do it again soon. My son was eating candy every day, too. Until I took it to my Sunday School class last Sunday. haha

  13. Veterans Day programs are always moving. I've lost my DVRed shows too--they had to replace the box. Ugh.

I need to watch Stranger Things!

  15. Even when my store has regular bread, hamburger buns are fun so something different to the usual sandwich; my kids enjoy them too! We've not quite done candy every day, but it has been some just about every day with no end in site! The kids got so much this year!

  19. I was quite shocked to read that your kids didn't eat all of the halloween candy! I am most certain we ate the majority of ours as soon as we got back home (of course our parents helped!)

  20. Ahhh...When my cable box was replaced and I lost all of my shows I was so disappointed! But worse things could have happened, so I agree - it's okay that it happened. I ended up finding new programs that I hadn't heard of before! We need to look for the silver lining.
