Setting Goals 101

The end of the year is here.  I like to think it's not the end but only the beginning of new opportunities.  The beginning of a new year to me is just a way to start the clock over.  I appreciate that because I lose count all the time and if I actually did something from January 1st through December 31 that's 365 days!

Even if you don't set resolutions change is good and should be welcomed.  Take the clean slate as your chance to do anything.  We criticize ourselves for not having done something so change that.  It's not always about fitness or quitting smoking.  Take the opportunity to learn something, read something or go somewhere.  You are I'm charge of the duration.  Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.

I do set resolutions for the year.  Nothing was set with a daily objective last year but I have tried to add it this year.  Easy things such as drinking a better limit of water compared to next to nothing should be easy.  No limit of water set is attainable!

Weekly goals are easy.  I have 7 days to play with and technically 1 day a week is even weekly.  I would rather do more then 1 day a week.  3 days a week is attainable and if I did every other day I get a break in between!

Monthly gets a little harder to work with.  You have 12 months to work with but, there's a lot of days you can continue to neglect and either rush on the last few days to accomplish or miss it all together.  A monthly goal has to be a challenge but easy at the same time.  Every 15th or the 3rd Wednesday of the month is attainable.

A year gives you 12 months to work with.  Pick your month and set your plan in motion. Yearly goals need more planning especially if you choose December because you don't have any leeway at the end of the year.  Your yearly doesn't have to be in December.  You could be super efficient and get it out the way in January.  1 item for the year is attainable.

The great thing about a resolution is the choice is up to the individual.  Don't go overboard.  Pick something that is manageable because then it won't lead to excuses or neglect.

Good luck to you in the new year whether you choose to make a resolution or not.  Remember it's not always about change.  It can also be about learning or improving!

Happy New Year!

Smile with Confidence (review) and Giveaway

The other day I received a package. A package full of power and promise.  One that would give me courage and confidence. Smile Brilliant provides a kit for your own personal teeth whitening experience

I had heard of teeth whitening but never considered trying it because I thought it was too complicated, too expensive and maybe should be left to the professionals.  I however stepped out of my box and decided to give it a try.

First off being able to whiten my teeth at home is great.  I hate going to the dentist so this is huge for me.  The instructions were easy enough to follow that came in the kit.

I just had to make a mold of my teeth, send it off for a retainer and wait a couple weeks.  Send it back in a prepaid envelope was easy!

When I received my retainer it was time to get down to business.  It was so easy to add the solution then relax and let it work.

The process does not need you undivided attention. Pop your retainer in and read a book, take a bath or catch up on Housewives of somewhere.  Benefits to a custom try are.

I do drink coffee but not daily, I do not smoke and thought my teeth were not that dull before but do see them as being brighter after a few weeks of treatment.

Results will vary as does the amount of times you whiten.

I was provided this kit for review purposes and all opinions are my own.

If your interested in jumping in and experiencing the at home teeth whitening for yourself save 15% with belugasinva15!

Better yet try your luck with a giveaway! This giveaway is $139 credit towards Smile Brilliant open and it's open for residents in USA, Canada, UK and Australia!  Hurry it ends soon!   Good luck!

Haunting the Deep (book review)

Mystery, suspense. Titanic and ghosts.  This book had me slowly turning each page.  Not because I was scared but, because each page was filled with such detail you could almost see it.  To me a good book makes it easy to visualize the story.  Haunting The Deep by Adrian Mather takes you on an entertaining spooky journey.

We follow some goth girls whom are the present day Descendants.  Do they believe in witch craft, magic or enjoy making up stories together?

Sam whom is followed by ghosts seeks help from the Descendants.  The school is having a upcoming dance with the theme of the Titanic.  The Titanic starts to become more then just a topic she is learning in class.  Sam is dreaming of the Titanic, she even is being gifted appropriate period attire for the Titanic.  But why and from who?

Pick up this book and sit back and follow this adventure.  Find our more about the author here.

I received this book from bloggingforbooks for this review.  All opinions are my honest opinion!  I enjoyed this book and if you like a mysterious spooky read this book will not disappoint.

Coobie Bra (review) and GIVEAWAY

There is a list of things I hate to do.  A list of items I hate to shop for or try on.  We all have a list for something.  Bra shopping is up there.

I was recently introduced to Coobie Seamless bras and what an experience it has been.  I have a variety of bras from sports bras to strapless to underwire too.  Most women I can only assume have a variety of bras as well.  We know what works and are loyal to some more then others.  It's not always about the brand as much as it is about comfort.

First off I loved what the bra looked like.  It's a beautiful shade of plum.  It has very sophisticated lace detail.  There are no latches, hooks or snaps with an exception on the shoulders straps for securing that perfect fit.

I'm excited to share these bras with you!  I am having a giveaway with 2 winners! However if you can't wait use code USFG for a 30% discount!

Good luck enter the giveaway here.

School with Letter I

So my printer is on the blitz.  I hate how every few years it seems I need a new one.  So when this happens we have to really take advantage of workbooks, chalkboards, and dry erase boards.  I even found some old sheets I had used with my daughter that were in sheet protectors.

Although I put his letter of the week on his desk we still work on a variety of areas daily.  He learns numbers, as well as math.

Of course a little tablet or computer time in addition to books, puzzles, crafts and other hands on activities helps pass the time and aid in fun learning.

Take a look at that first picture.  Do you see the ice cubes?  We played Don't Break The Ice!

In addition to the ice game we played Cooties because cooties are insects!

I spy was played as well.  Some of these were really hard to find but he showed a great persistence in looking.

This worksheet had him coloring leaves based on some of his sight words.

We attempted to make an igloo with mini marshmallows.

I made an island for him but to my disappointment it wasn't not met with much enthusiasm.  It was yogurt I had dyed blue which he didn't care for, nor did he care for the mound of brown sugar.  I don't know what's wrong with that boy.

Lastly, we made ice cream!  He didn't quite follow through with all the necessary shaking but, he did appreciate this snack!

My biggest struggle for letter I week was books.  On my hunt to find books this week I found there not to be a big selection.  So a lot of books had I this, or I that but only a few exact words. Ice cream, insects and a couple specific names.

So glad letter I is over.  Just before the local ice rinks opened so we will make a special trip to those.
