Weekly menu 9/4-9/8
As I made my menu this week I thought to myself what's my favorite food. Can I eat that all week? I mean beyond pizza. Can I eat chicken everyday for a week even if I change the dish? Meatless meal everyday? No even with a different vegetable and starch, mushroom instead of pepperoni and meatless spaghetti and meatless chili I still like to taste something different the next day.

Two meatless, one crockpot with soup for a busy day and a carry over from last week. I think I have made the soup recipe before but I don't know which recipe I used this recipe may or may not be new. Otherwise all the other recipes are new for me! Is anyone eating out? What's your favorite meal? Could you eat the same meal everyday?

Everything sounds delicious. I really should meal plan. If I made one up, I'd probably be snarky and write down, "Don't care, don't care, don't care.." But obviously my family needs to eat and they look baffled when I tell them to find something on their own.
ReplyDeleteMaybe your just one of those mom's that can come up with meals at the blink of an eye. I find if I don't plan a little I'll repeat food or make breakfast for dinner a couple nights to do as minimal as possible.
DeleteWow! I love how you're so organized with your meal plan, something we need in this household. But will definitely read up on your list and see what we can come up with! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's becoming a regular habit. I get annoyed if the dinner gets bumped (depending on why).
DeleteI'd love to know how the cheeseburger soup turns out! I love soups like that and it sounds so delicious.
ReplyDeleteI strive to be as organized as you. Perhaps I'll get it together enough to just use yours! Thanks for posting this. It is inspirational!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I only put together other recipes. Making my own recipes is above me. So I kind of cheat.
DeleteI can't eat the same thing over and over! It's challenging to come up with new stuff, so it's always helpful to see what other people are having. My favorite go-to meal is salsa chicken...I throw chicken in the Crock Pot with salsa and sometimes taco seasoning. I use it to make tacos, taco salad, tostadas, etc. and sometimes freeze for later if I make a bunch!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's so challenging to come up with new stuff. We used to eat tacos weekly and even tonight I was trying to drop hint to eat out at this place that does dollar tacos on Monday!
DeleteAll these sounds delicious. And you have selected a variety of meals for each day with different tastes...
ReplyDeleteI am going back to work after many months of baby leave and I need to start planning meal ahead of time. Nice list you've got there!
ReplyDeleteLove reading about your creative weekly menus! You truly inspire me to do the same.
ReplyDeleteMore power to you on being able to plan ahead and be that creative, that's great!!! I'm lucky if I figure dinner out day of an eat before 9 LOL.
ReplyDeleteChicken is always our go to:)
Tiffany :)
I like meal planning, and try to give myself room to change my mind (in case i'm just not feeling it on that particular day)
ReplyDeleteGreat planning, I'm really poor when it comes to plan meal.. I just look up and cook instantly from the veggies I shop on weekends! Looks some good food everyday:)
ReplyDeleteThose glazed salmon fillets sound awesome. I love doing meal planning posts as well, they help inspire others on what to cook and plan for their families.
ReplyDeleteThis all sounds very delicious! You should post some pictures of them too! Yummmm
ReplyDeleteHaha I made a dinner collage this weekend and posted it today. If you want to take a peek.
DeleteChanging different menu everyday won't get it boring. Combination of meat and vegan is perfect for health. Don't forget to add the same drink on each: water. So healthy... (y)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I keep trying to make and stick to a meal plan, but I'm finding it hard to make one that accurately predicts what my pregnant self will be able to eat each day, haha. Maybe I'll have better luck in a few months...
ReplyDeleteMy thing is little people who choose not to eat anything. Last night we had soup and they had hotdogs and Ramen noodles. It will be a whole new world for me when they start actually eating.
DeleteI'm heavily a creature of habit so I could and often do eat the same thing over an extended period of time. My kids on the other hand think that if they've had something in the last month then it has no place on the menu lol! I just recently started incorporating new recipes into our menu. We've actually really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard complaints from my people for repeats, lol. I do hear appreciation when I make new stuff!
ReplyDeleteit all sounds really good, thanks for the ideas!
ReplyDeleteI Love how discipline you are when it comes to meal prep, I wish I could be the same way. My favorite meal is lasagna.
ReplyDeleteMeal planning is such a great idea. I feel like ever since I had kids, I'm so picky when it comes to food- I need what I want when I want so I never do this well. You always pick such amazing meals and make it look so simple ❤️❤️❤️ And I could eat pizza every night too! Ha
