Weekly menu 9/4-9/8

As I made my menu this week I thought to myself what's my favorite food.  Can I eat that all week?  I mean beyond pizza.  Can I eat chicken everyday for a week even if I change the dish?  Meatless meal everyday?  No even with a different vegetable and starch, mushroom instead of pepperoni and meatless spaghetti and meatless chili I still like to taste something different the next day.

Two meatless, one crockpot with soup for a busy day and a carry over from last week.  I think I have made the soup recipe before but I don't know which recipe I used this recipe may or may not be new.  Otherwise all the other recipes are new for me! Is anyone eating out? What's your favorite meal?  Could you eat the same meal everyday?

Weekly Menu (week 4)

I'm trying to squeak by one more week without going to the grocery store.  I still have some meat left and of course a pantry of supplies on hand.  So before I replenish I need to get rid of the old to bring in the new.

This week meals include: shrimp, pork, there's always chicken and sausage.  Of course there is a meatless item because it doesn't hurt!

Weekly Menu (week 2 Feb)

The second week of February is here! Winter has been pretty mellow this year I hope to keep it that way.  I don't mind the occasional snow fall but in order for that to occur it has to be cold. I hate the cold.  So until it heats up I will just keep it hot in the kitchen.

  This week's menu:

Pasta: Fettuccine with spinach

Meatless: Mexican Dish

Meal plan 11/2-11/6

Ok so here I am trying to do my meal plan again!  One week was good the next week not so good.  We eat out on the weekend and depending on what we get it piles up and then that greatly influences my meals for the week.  Pizza and chinese! They will always be the culprit because of the quantity, lol.  We get 2 pizza's on a Friday and 5 or 6 containers of chinese on Saturday or Sunday.

Monday: Shepard's Pie
Ingredient:
ground meat (seasoned and browned)
Mashed potatoes (buttered and prepared)
Cream corn (can)
After the meat and potatoes are done I layer my pan meat first, followed by corn then spread mashed potatoes on top.  I bake it for 20 minutes. (Sometimes I broil it a bit for some color on the top)

Tuesday: Gnocchi
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/236824/cheesy-baked-gnocchi/

Wednesday: chicken tortilla soup
http://www.fivehearthome.com/2014/10/14/slow-cooker-chicken-tortilla-soup/

Thursday: Salmon

Ok, there we have it! Some meal I was supposed to have last week back up there for this week! We shall give it another go!

Menu 10/19-10/23

Another week another menu plan to stay focused.  I do base some menus based on appointments or activities arranged for the week.  It makes it easier in case I am running late.  I don't need to stop and think about what we are eating dinner I can just keep calm and cook on!  Just because I'm going to be home at 5 doesn't mean I should have made a crockpot meal.  There are quick meals I can whip together too.

Last week I didn't follow my plan as we had a couple days of disfunction, extended dr appointments and spontaneous pizza nighs.  So those meals got rolled over to this week in order to use the fresh food an meat up.

10/19 Monday Corned beef and potatoes

10/20 Tuesday lasagna

10/21 Wednesday copycat Zuppa Tuscana soup need sausage!!!

10/22 Thursday (meatless meal)
http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/black-bean-burger/

10/23 Friday definitely  a leftover day!

Next week will be new I promise.  After I am caught back up with what I pulled out of the freezer.  It's almost time to go grocery shopping! I love shopping no matter what kind it is.

Meals 10/5-10/9

These are our planned dinners for the week.  Again I don't have the capabilities or the talent to create my own recipes so I will just be sharing recipes I use.  Of course the benefit to this is you may use one of my meals to fill in hole in your week or try something new.

I will put what we had on Monday night too even though it has passed! Thursday may actually be different than what I post because my youngest daughter will be celebrating her birthday.  I am only posting dinners.  They will range from meatless, chicken, salmon, ground turkey, and pork.  We do have the occasional burgers or hotdogs but I don't even have those in the freezer at the moment.
