Born to Wander (review)

Where are you going? Where have you been?  Born to Wander by Michelle Van Loon will take you on a path reflecting on your own journey.  I was provided this book complimentary for review purposes and all opinions are my own.

I found this book easy to read and enjoy.

This book wandered with me everywhere including the pool until I was done with it!

This book contains 11 chapters including questions after each chapter encouraging you to consider what you read, your current life situation and ending with a prayer.

Some chapters may mean more to you then others.  I had a few similarities with the author.  Each chapter titled gives you an appropriate taste of what you will read.
Chapter 1: Uprooted
Chapter 2: Sent
Chapter 3: Waylaid
Chapter 4: Displaced
Etc........

We wander all the time.  Not just moving from one home to another but, in our jobs, with our friends and sometimes from one church to another.

Some moves may have been on purpose others on accident or coincidentally but, it's natural to wander.  We are in charge of our own happiness and in searching for the best fit, the happy life, satisfaction we wander.

The author adds an appropriate passage from the Bible or a story not just her own of a particular scenario to bring relevance to the chapter.

A copy of Born to Wander could be yours! Enter the giveaway

This would be a perfect book for your small group book club.  Use the questions provided in the back for group discussion.  Wandering is so natural and common that this is a book anyone can read and walk away from with a different perspective.

I felt this was a great book and as stated earlier all opinions and comments are my own.

Taster Thursday (Sparkling Water)

This week we are sipping on a sample I picked up at Target.  We tried Lemon Sparkling water by Simply Balanced.  My kids don't drink soda or I should say most of the time on my watch. So opening the can was exciting despite that I said it was water.

The kids were surprised by the bubbles.

They had a toast to celebrate their new taste for the week!

One child drank all of their cup.  One child didn't like it a bit.  No surprise which child didn't like it.

The stats!

The can was 12 FL oz.  It was made only with natural flavors and had zero calories per one serving can.

The kids both liked the bubbles.  Both declared it to be sour but, one again found it good enough to drink.  It was OK for me.  I would like to try a different flavor.  I have not had many sparkling waters so I need to compare it to another.

Until next week.  We will eat what we know and play it safe!

Bic Pens with color and flair

I received a package of pens from Smiley360 and what a perfect time to sample them just before school shopping.  Each grade suggest different supplies, folder and pen colors are often specifically requested too. So this product is very convenient.

Bic Gelo-ocity gel pens come in a variety of colors to aid in making that letter standout to a dear friend, maybe spicing up a mundane to-do list, or giving some motivation to your student in their lunch.

The colors I received were pink, purple and blue.   These pens offer a nice comfortable rubber grip, are retractable and dry quicker then most pens.  I liked the colors and the way the pens wrote.  There was indeed no smear as the ink did dry quickly.  My kit included the pens, coupons to pass out, a coloring sheet to test my colors on, an information guide about the pens and the Smiley360 card with instructions.

Smiley360 offers a variety of products complimentary for testing purposes and reviews.  Sign up here.  You answers surveys to see if you qualify and accept or decline offers based on your interest.   You share your experiences on your social media platforms and wait for the next opportunity. Through Smiley360 I have tested both products I was familiar with and new products.

This time it was a win for the kids and myself as we got a great introduction to some colorful school supplies!  I have tried a variety of products from Mucinex, a pillow, vitamins, Advil and dog food to name a few.

I received these pens complimentary for review purposes from Smiley360 and all opinions expressed are my own.

It's Ok

It's ok!  It's ok when your opinion doesn't match the majority.  It's ok when your the only one with an opposing view.  I'm teaming up with airingmylaundry.  She posts weekly about what she's ok with!  So check it out and post what your ok with this week.

It's ok......

It's ok that I didn't really watch The Superbowl this year not even the commercials.  I did however watch the whole halftime show!

It's ok that I have already set record on my tv for the finale of The Bates Motel scheduled to come on February 20th.

It's ok that I'm excited to watch Grey's Anatomy this week to see what Karev is up to.

It's ok to not be excited for Valentine's Day.  I would love to eat out, munch on chocolate,  be adorned with jewelry or have some fresh flowers any day.  I don't need a specific day.

It's ok that I love watch all food shows with kids.  To hear how they have been cooking for years makes me laugh but their lack of fear to concoct things is pretty cool.

So that's what I'm ok with!  What are you ok with?  How is your week going?

It's Ok

Linking up again with airingmylaundry to share what's been ok lately.  This is where we can share with each other what others may not necessarily agree with.  Or where your opinion is opposite the majority.

It's ok......

That I'm not horrible excited about the new Fifty Shades Darker.  I saw the first one after it finally made it to television.

It's ok......

That I don't have any plans for dinner the rest of the week but, I have the grocery list planned so maybe after that trip that will help.

It's ok.....

That I'm not super excited about the Super Bowl.  Even if they took out the game and gave me the commercials cutting the time down drastically, even if it was different teams I just never get super excited.

It's ok.....

That I took 3 cups of cocoa from the gym today as a treat for my two kids and myself! There's days when I don't take any at all so why not once and a while I snag a cup for 1 person not visibly there.

Ok I will stop there.  What's ok lately with you?

L'oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal Review

This is my L'oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal facial cleaning set.

I was fortunate to receive this facial cleaning set from Bzzagent.  Bzzagent provides various products to test and promote on a variety of social media platforms.  After you take a survey you are then qualified or not for the products.

This face cleaning treatment is recommended to be done 2 times a day.  The first step is to lather up with this facial cleanser.  This cleanser has a nice pleasant lemony scent.  This scrub cleanser has tiny beads that help gently exfoliate your skin to a brighter fresher skin.

The next step is the brightening peel pads.  This tub contains 30 pre-soaked pads.  After the initial scrubbing step you use a pad to clean and essentially exfoliate again.

Third step in the morning would be applying the brightening moisturizer.  The moisturizing cream is in a 1.0 FL oz pump.  It is easy to blend into your face and does get absorbed quickly.

In the evening the third step would be to apply the brightening dual overnight moisturizer in place of the brightening moisturizer.  This pump bottle is also 1.0 FL oz.  It's a combination of an oil and lotion formula.

I am very satisfied with this three step process.  Despite all the steps it really is easy to use and doesn't take that long.  I can visually see my face brightening and it's much softer to the touch.  I would buy this product again.

I was provided this product free for my honest opinion.  all opinions stated were my own.

Feel free to try out Bzzagent with my link.
