So my day started out satisfactory. Lost one child to the educational institution but everyone else was still here. Placing me under house arrest.  2 children are under supervision for possibly being 50 % better although this fluctuates from I feel good to I don't feel good based sometimes on simple requests like can you help with a chore.

Then the day is almost shot when a substance starts falling from the sky again .  Don't look directly at it because it will mesmerize you with its beauty. But step outside to get a closer view and that wind slaps you across the face and thats the best reality check you can get. It's snowing again which isn't a good thing here. Gosh I sure hope I have milk and bread.

Enter the finale to my day. School is closed again.  I just laugh at the thought of my future.  All plans are canceled due to the weather and now any and all regular scheduled routines will be interrupted.  Sleep patterns, nap patterns, and everything in between.  The adolescents will take this as an excuse to consume more food not just at lunch but throughout the day.  Thank you VA.

Wake me up when it's over.

Sick day

Today would have been the first day back to school after a week long unscheduled vacation thanks to the snow but the youngest member of our tribe apparently appreciated the noise and people. He is a social butterfly.  He caught a stomach bug on Thursday and shared it with everyone. (minus me)

1 small loving boy + ugly stomach bug= 4 people down

Not too bad I suppose if that wasn't 4 people 2 bathrooms.

Not too bad because everyone appreciates you a little more when you bring the food and water. They just do it rather loudly or in a whiny voice.

Not too bad if you weren't washing your hands everytime you even thought about the mess because you are paranoid to get it.

Maybe it's not all bad. Baby boy could be smarter than he's getting credit for. He took the enemies out for some momma time!  Not bad little man- one point for you.

Stay back everyone I have a mommas boy and I'm not afraid to use it!!

It is a rather happy sight to see the plows. Day 4 of no school. This has been family time at its finest!!!

So glad to see the calvary has come!!! With a record low temp still looming a threat of completing this week of no school is still knocking at the door.

VA is hosting another snow day tomorrow.  The streets couldn't be cleared off and the snow is falling again.  I am not sure if I will make it through this week with all the quality time I am getting with my family.  I will never again take it for granted on the weekends.  The short 2 day weekends.

Day 1 snow day over but another looms for tomorrow.  The snow is hard and crunchy impossible to play and build a snowman.  This makes for frustrated children and "I'm bored!" I find amusement in the shutdown of the area because they don't have enough snowplows to cover all the areas and there is just a stop in all things.  Not to mention you can't even buy a winter coat suitable for the winter weather; that is why I think we should shut the area down!!!  I have had to smuggle my coat from upstate ny. I wonder how much I could sell them for?? I would also bring sleds which are available few and far between.  Although that is not a huge priority as the closes places people slide is the hills located near on and off ramps by the highways.
