Water Wonderland Reflection

I don't remember like it was yesterday because it wasn't.  It was two weeks ago.  The first snowfall of the season and even 2017 hit Virginia and gave us a beautiful blanket of white of which we laid down under stuck in our house for a couple days.

I took a walk through the neighborhood because after a few days inside it really didn't matter how cold it was outside.

I found my favorite little purple berry bush with the berries still slightly pretty in a new way.

Decorations left the holiday looked even better with snow.

Child' play.  It made me smile to see this angel.

The remnants of a past holiday.

A full moon and a beautiful blue sky.

Finally the cavalry arrived to clean the streets and make them acceptable for travel again!

I'm not placing any bets that this will be our one and only snowfall but if there's another I look forward to getting a few more pictures.

  1. I really enjoyed your snow pictures and am definitely looking forward to more. I'm also looking forward to taking more snow pictures here but, alas, it's been raining and it's not likely to snow for a few weeks!

  2. The idea of having snow excites me (like a kid). But as an adult, Ssnow might only give me a temporary happiness. In your area, does it snow heavily and produces thick snows?

    1. No, it doesn't snow heavy or often where I live so it's very welcomed by kids! Where I'm from up North I got a lot of snow all winter.

  4. Oh brrr. I'm in Texas now so we don't get snow often. But before I lived in Oklahoma and Wyoming where we DID get snow. I didn't mind it most of the time, unless I had to drive in it. Then I wasn't amused.

  6. Beautifully written, the pictures were breath taking. I'm not familiar with snow, I grew up in the Caribbean and then Florida, so I'm used to warm weathers and beaches. But I'm not saying I would trade it for snow lol but I would visit. I'm not a big fan of the cold ;)

  9. I'm grew up in Upstate NY and I always loved a good snow day. Our tradition was on the first snow day of the year we would make chocolate chip cookies! My daughter is thirty and now she carries on her own tradition :-)

    1. I'm from Upstate NY (WNY) and spent my whole childhood in it. This is a different snow a dry snow for the most part or it gets a sheet of ice on it still making it impossible to play with. The first snowfall is the best!
