Week 10 Recap and New Goals

Goals: something we set out to do or have to do (some goals are voluntary) whether we want to or not.

I set my goals based on a personal preference.  Something I want to achieve.  Something that has to get done and something fun (that may get overlooked).

Goals last week:
Freezer: lol, still not done.  I just keep forgetting. Now if I don't write it done, it will get done.

Book: I am onto book 7!

Outside cardio:  I am going to blame it on the rain and cold weather.  Two of my least favorite elements to run or cycle in outside.

Mealplan:  I did make and complete another successful breakfast plan last week.

This week I'm going to get back to dinner plans.  I may make a few enemies in the house but, I'm looking at an all vegetarian week!

New Goals:

1. Finish book 7 and start on book 8.  I am way behind.

2.  Go through clothes. Everyones closet and drawers need to be gone through.  Stuff we don't wear, don't like, too small all needs to GO!

3. I think I'm over due for a self pamper day! Bubbles, pedicure and facial.

4.  Outside cardio!  If it's nicer this week I will try to get out and about.

I think I'm good with just these this week!  I have two appointments and some necessary errands sprinkled through the week so I'm going to be busier then usual.

I hope you have a good week and accomplish what you need to.  One load of laundry done, dinner on the table once is better then nothing if that's all you get around to.  Ask for help if you can but don't stress about it.

Week 9 Recap and New Goals

Grab your drink of choice and start your to do list for the week!

Last weeks goals were not that difficult so why did I not succeed?

Because life happens and sometimes you just forget. You live in the moment and do something at hand. So let's try again.

1.  Freezer wasn't done last week so I'll roll it onto this week.  It's not really dirty as much as I want to get the ice build up removed.

2.  I didn't get any outside cardio time in.  I still hit the gym and exercised on some indoor cardio but I didn't get any fresh air.

3. I did finish book 5. Finally!  So on to number 6!

4.  I don't have a current dinner mealplan ready yet but, another breakfast mealplan is ready and will be posted tomorrow.

The crepes I made were a hit with the family!

I am extra motivated after a few good things happening last week and carrying over into this week.  Good luck to everyone else on your upcoming week.

Week 8 Recap and New Goals

Is it the end or just a new beginning?  Another week down!  Looking back at my goals I did ok.

1.Finish 2 books.
Nope not yet, I'm still working on Monday's Lie! This is week 9 and I'm on book 5.  I really need to get a move on.

2. Fitness. I did 33 miles in a combination of walking, elliptical and spin bike. I didn't take 4 classes only 3 this week. TRX, Barre and Mixxedfit.

3. Forgot about that freezer!

4.  I did make granola!  We had it as part of breakfast with yogurt on Friday as well as a snack.

New Goals

1. Freezer!  Since I dropped the ball last week.

2.  Finish THE BOOKS is it more serious if I put it in caps?

3.  The weather is getting nicer outside I would like to get out and walk or jog or cycle. I don't remember the weather so I'm not going to out a number down.

4.  Set up meal plan for a couple weeks! What's for dinner tomorrow ?  I don't know.  What's for breakfast?  There's almost always cereal!

The banana muffins were good and appreciated last week.  I was planning on blueberry this week!

Alright everyone! Good luck on what you accomplished last week and what you still need to do this week.

Week 3 Recap

I hit all my goals this week!  Yeah for being so productive but, that doesn't always happen which is why I'm celebrating.  You have to celebrate the small things.  Even if I only completed one thing I would have said good job and rolled over the other items.

1. I finished and start a new book! I am now onto book number 3.

So far it's starting out good which always makes reading a book easy, right?!

2. My new recipe of the week was Swedish Meatballs.

They were ok.  I didn't make the meatballs by hand so I cheated a bit but, I wanted a little more flavor so I will try again.

3. I have a few posts figured out for next week.  That's good enough for me.  Having a direction is better then not.

4. The nails did get painted as well.

A little gold for the week!

5. Lastly my fitness goal was met.  I wanted 15 cardio miles.  With inside lap miles, my job, the elliptical and the spin bike my miles were over 40 miles.  For 2 days of cardio machines I did 15 miles alone.

I'm going to need to up that numbers!

Overall my goals weren't that hard but not all goals have to be.  Goals just have to be something you work on accomplishing.  The meal was a benefit for my family.  The book, nails, fitness and blog were for me!

Maybe I will work on adding goals for specific reasons or people.  A new week is coming and there's nothing else to do but get ready for it.

Weekend Fitness

It's Friday and the weekend is almost here.  You have worked all week and you can't wait to take it easy on the weekend.  That's completely understandable but your workout doesn't have to be canceled.

I knew I would have a busy weekend but I am motivated to stay active all 31 days of October so I planned ahead.  Saturday I was going to be gone but based on my plans I was going to be walking a lot so that was my fitness for the day.

It worked out great.  I would have liked 25,000 steps but we had to go to another place at 6 and it started to rain so my plans were not quite 100 % attainable.

On Sunday I knew again that my fitness routine would be interrupted so I set my alarm a little earlier for jog before my 'official' day started!

Most of my cardio routines are in the morning so that's nothing new to me.  It works best for me because after noon I lack motivation for the most part.  3 miles for me!  The weekend didn't slow me down!

Well at the end of my weekend. I feel good! My fitness was not compromised based on the weekend or busy plans.

I still managed to get a complete week of fitness done!

1 week done 3 weeks and 3 days to go.  This is just a view of my steps.  I didn't necessarily walk or jog to get fitness but sometimes I did both. Thursday and Friday I rode my bike and those miles don't get calculated with my app. Monday I also did Yoga.

Do you have a goal for the month?  How are you doing so far towards that?

9 Days of 30 Day Fitness Challenge Recap

So at the beginning of the month I made a couple goals.  One of those goals was to workout in one way or the other for the month of Dec.  Yes, I did workout before but never everyday. Never with the mindset that I had to get a workout in EVERY day.  Never have I ever worked out with a purpose everyday until now.

Here's what 9 days of working out looks like!

Day 1 I started on the elliptical.

Day 2 I swam laps for 30 minutes.

Day 3 I worked out at home but not alone!

Day 4 I ran on the treadmill.

Day 5 I rowed 5000m.

Day 6 I took a Piloxing class.

Day 7 I swam sat in the hot tub and spent minutes in the sauna.

Day 8 on the bike.

Day 9 also on the bike.

I would like to say that's a pretty productive 9 days.  Some of my cardio days included weight training with an exception of the class and swimming days.  I alternate between legs, arms and abs.  This second week I started with protein shakes in the morning and even meal prepped my lunches for the week.

I am not looking for major changes although some pants have slid on a little better then they used to; that's kind of nice let's just be honest.  The scale hasn't moved but, you know what they say its about how your clothes fit!  I just want to condition my body and tone it.  I wanted to set a challenge/goal for myself and 30 days of fitness sounded like a good place to start.  9 days down 3 weeks to go!  See what I did there?  The weeks were less then the days so I am fooling myself.

If you feel motivated to join me I would love to hear your goals whether they are fitness related or not.  What are you currently challenging yourself with?  Finish reading one more book before the end of the month?  Finish shopping a week ahead of Christmas?

Fitness Plan II

Why do you want to workout?  Working out doesn't need to be done at the gym.  You don't need to spend a lot of money on the healthy choice.  Sneakers is definitely a necessity and maybe a water bottle.  You don't need to run out and get exercise videos, look it up on cable, or the lovely Internet is bountiful.  You tube, Google search and pinterest all have videos and exercises for target areas and your choice of levels of intensity.  I even follow a couple ladies on Facebook.

The whole process helps when you have a reason why you want to workout.  It could be for yourself, your family, health reasons but I think it has to definitely be more than just because.  This reason is your number one priority before your objective to loose 5lbs or 10 inches.

I said don't splurge on a membership be it $10 or $50 until you are focused and dedicated.  After a month or maybe 2 weeks of regularly working out then reward yourself with a facility if that's what you really want but it's not necessary.  Sneakers and a water bottle are all you need.

Lastly,  your workout doesn't have to be indepth.  Results will be visible with dedicated regular workouts.  That's all you need. Get moving and things will happen.  I promise you this.  Do you know why?  Because most likely you have never worked out before, stuck with it before, or been focused.

Don't know where to start.  Walk! If walking is too easy jog or fast walk, and if that's too easy run!  Do this for a mile and a half! Focus on distance not speed.  We will work on beating the speed later, when your looking for a challenge or it becomes to easy for you. Move 5 days this week.  You pick the days.  Write it down, choose am or pm.  No excuses!!  4 days a week through in some exercises in addition to your cardio.
Jumping rope for a minute, 25 jumping jacks, 30 second plank, 30 mountain climbers, 10 walking lunges, 5 squats, high knees for 30 seconds, butt kicks 30 seconds and REPEAT! 3 times total!!

Get moving!  Stay focused!  I know you can do it, you just have to prove it to yourself!
