Motivation Monday

  We all need a little motivation on Monday!  Regardless of that cup of coffee.

That long weekend!

Or if the kids actually slept in!

Take some time for you! 

Workout!

Paint your nails!

Grab a treat!

Catch a movie!

Or just take a walk!

Just do something for yourself.  It doesn't have to cost money it just needs to give you a break to unwind.  No thinking necessary.  You have 6 more days to do something.  Make it happen and then sit back and appreciate.

It's OK (by me)

  I'm going to play along with airingmylaundry today as I tell you what items/events/activities I missed but didn't lose sleep over.

  It's OK that I stopped everything for 2 hours to watch the new Grey's Anatomy last Thursday.  I swear sometimes it's so long between a series finale and a new season!

  It's OK that I grabbed my free cup of coffee from 7-eleven on Friday for National Coffee day and a chicken biscuit from Chick Fil A for my breakfast.  I like an app that's rewards with free food!

  It's OK that I also ate at Red Robin twice this week today because of their member privileges.

  It's OK that between 2 kids and myself we finished off a 1 lb bag of Twizzlers together. I say it was a bonding moment.

  Lastly its OK that my new goal for the month is 31 days of fitness.  I like the gym, outside cardio gives me a nice dose of fresh air and I'll be making myself check out some new to me gym classes.

  Today was yoga but, I am already up to 10 miles of foot power in 3 days.

Coffee with benefits

  I wanted to write this post as I'm not sure how many people are fully aware of their coffee benefits.  Most people find a brand or restaurant and stay loyalty to it.  I was like that myself until I consciously started looking at what I'm getting back.

  Flavor is an important part of coffee too but price is second if not first in some cases.  We pay more for some brands when other coffee establishments or convenience store offer the same if not more or less of a variety.  The price is an obvious difference that's what you will see first over taste.  My question to you is what else do you get for that purchase of coffee?  I have the rewards cards.  One card gives me points and I earn a free drink basically every month while also being my gift card that I load every month for the purchase but what makes this a better deal, one that helps me stretch my money, a huge benefit to my coffee allowance is discounts.  You can earn discounts with the purchase of the establishments cups.


  A cup depending on where you get it can range anywhere for a couple dollars on up.  The benefits from the cups also depending on where you get them saves you drastically or very minimally.  I don't know about you but I choose huge over little savings.

These are some of the cups I have.  I do have multiple cups for some places.  Everyone may need a his and her or a mom and child cup.    I even have a Tim Hortons cup that I picked up back home.  I am not endorsing the purchase of any of the cups I am merely suggesting you to look into purchasing a refillable cup to minimize your coffee expense.  

  Even before you so that try other locations.  Most locations have the same flavors.  Some flavors actually taste the same and some do not.  After you have decided your go to place whether it it a new or not look into the other benefits.

  Dunkin Donuts benefits of a refillable cup is the price of a small coffee or small latte.    I can't tell you an exact price of a cup and there are several to choose from but you are saving money with nit being charged for a medium or large size.

  Starbucks has a variety of cups for a variety of prices there discount for reusing their refillable cup is .10.

  Tim Hortons also sells refillable cups but as they are not plentiful in my area I am not sure what their discounts are.

  Lastly, Wawa has a special for the month of October.  All refills are $1.00 this month but, the price will increase to 1.30 depending on the size after the special is over. (I was also told you can refill anything even a thermos for a special rate)

  There are a few local/national stores that I am not aware of their coffee refillable benefits such as 7-11, Royal Farms or Shell.  Feel free to comment with any benefits for refillable cups.

How do you drink your coffee?

  I scored this great Keurig a few months ago from a show on TV for a steal but it was not one of those famous K-cup machines.  No not here.  It was an overlooked R-cup machine. I didn't pay attention to that part when I bought it.  I was just excited that I was able to join the Keurig club.  Well now I don't think I'm part of the club.  I think I'm in the Keurig family but maybe like a distance cousin.  One that's not always invited over but gets a random coupon just too get my money but that's all.

  When it arrived I presented it to my husband as he is the one that wanted to make coffee at home.  I was unaware I could make what I buy at home.  I thought only highly trained professionals were allowed to make it.  I briefly remember him making a cup though.  So obviously you don't need to be so highly trained just skim the directions and your good to go.  It does make lattes and cappuccinos like the original Keurig, it has a frother in the system, but that's where the similarities stop.  I didn't know it was not the "real deal" the K-cup machine until I had gotten reusable K-cups and they didn't fit.

This cup is much shorter and even a little wider.  There is no confusing the two.  I can not use a K-cup in my R-cup machine.  The Rivo is strictly a R-cup deal.

  I still haven't personally used it but do frequent area places for my coffee supplement.  Thankfully I do not need coffee and so therefore do not go everyday or every week. However I have gone to Wawa three times this week!  Today being the third day I actually picked up their refillable cup.  The cup costs a couple dollars and refills for this month are $1.  After this month they go up a few cents more.  Ahh, did you hear me say I have already gone multiple times this week already.  Looks to me like I purchased my refillable cup just in time.

  Of course don't bother asking what's in my cup.  Tis the season for pumpkin!!  I fell in love with it after the first cup.  Lol, are you still with me?  I am not a regular coffee drinker but I have drank coffee 3 times this week.  Something is going on.  It is so good that my husband doesn't get any leftovers.  Usually he gets the other half of the cup.  I drink the whole thing.  I used to also get sick after drinking even the little bit that I did.  I also couldn't necessarily drink it when it was room temperature or cold.  Not the case here!  This coffee is all around good and pleasing to me and my belly!

    Well I am now so excited to go back with my cup for the rest of October and reap the rewards of paying a reduced rate for my coffee, sparing the landfill of my coffee cups

and drinking up some more yummy goodness.
