It's OK (by me)

I'm going to play along with airingmylaundry today as I tell you what items/events/activities I missed but didn't lose sleep over.

You can find here latest it's okay post here.

It's OK that this week Grey's Anatomy will not be on due to the traditional playing of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.  I enjoy watching the shows of my childhood with my kids.

It's OK my kids are taking turns with a cold. It means everyone can go to bed a little earlier for more rest.

It's OK that I didn't complete my fitness goals last week. My youngest was sick and momma makes him feel better then daddy. One point for mom.

It's OK that I'm thrilled my daughter attended a library event for teens. She tends to be a home body so her leaving was a big deal.  She even won a signed copy of Turtles All The Way Down by John Green before the book was released! She made pins and inspirational plaques so she really enjoyed herself too.

Now it's your turn. Say it loud and proud! What are you OK with?

  1. I totally love the "it's okay," post. Amber's post are amazing too. I have two kids that love staying home also. My oldest daughter though is exhausting. She is always running in and out of the house constantly. I hope your kids are feeling better.

    1. It was nice to see Charlie Brown and his pumpkin but I can't wait for Grey's next week. When you finally get back to watching it will make for a nice binge.

  6. I am ok that I didn't throw a Halloween party this year for the first time in 10 years. I needed a break after an eventful September and an upcoming eventful November.

  7. Love this post and now I know why Grey's wasn't on last night. I am ok that my laundry is piling up while I go through mid-terms at school and need to study more then clean.

  12. I'm ok that I spent a whole day putting together a piece of furniture for my daughters room. I know I could have done other things but engaging with my daughter and helping her out is important.

  14. It's okay to still be sad that Derek is Dead on Grey's. (I'm still grieving)
It's okay I haven't found a full time job yet.
It's okay I figured out which graduate school I want to apply to.

This is an awesome exercise. I might tie it into my weekly mediatation.

  16. I was bummed when Grey's wasn't on. I never was really into the Peanuts cartoons. They are okay, but I was like, "Greys!"

We passed a cold around here too. Not fun! Natalie currently has it.
