Week 2 Recap

The snow is finally gone and life got back to a routine by Thursday.  It was long overdue.  It's not just about people not knowing how to drive in weather they are not familiar with, it's also about roads that were not safe to travel on .

I have made my water quota everyday which again is huge because I never drink water.  I could go all day without drinking it.  So to drink my daily requirements daily is a triumph.

I  made it to the gym the last few days of the week and took classes amongst my normal routine. I took 3 classes and 2 of them were new to me!   Fight and Mixxedfit.  Each class is a one hour long intense get your body moving class.

We dined out at Chick Fil A for a kids New Years Karoke event!

I even saw that my son is capable of sewing as he demonstrated at a sewing event at our local library where they made travel tic tack toe games.

Still slowly finishing my book.  It's not a bad book I just haven't found time to charge through it.

I finished my week off with a movie!!! Stay tune of what I saw this week!

How did your week go?  The second week into the year are you still going strong?

2018 Goals

Yes, there are two types of people. Those that make resolutions and start fresh at the start of a New Year and those that don't make resolutions but still start a New Year with the rest of us.

I have made several lists of what I want to complete or consider completing this year.  Consider completing gives me that open window of no stress but want to complete but may not make it.

In 2018 I resolve to be more organized, to follow an order or plan, to be more precise and follow through what I start.

I have broken goals down in several areas because I like a challenge and each area will help me grow.

Blogger goals: to include more collaborations, engagement hopefully attend an expo and personally meet a few bloggers to name a few.

Family goals:  to volunteer together more, roadtrips, play more games, more intentional play and interaction.

Fitness goals: continue exercising, try different classes, hydrate regularly.

Me goals:  reading, learn hairstyles for my daughter and continue with group interactions

I haven't figured out my strong words yet but had some last year and I like reflecting on them throughout the year so I will work on narrowing that down.

The first week is almost over.  Have you figured out your resolution or yearly goals?

2017 is Going to be Epic

2017

All any of us can do is go into the new year with a positive mindset.  To go into it any other way is setting ourselves up for disaster.  Why would we purposely do that to ourselves?  There are already going to be bad days so lets not run out the gate seeking it out.

My new year may not be quite epic but close enough is good enough for me.  I will shoot for epic and if I fall slightly short that's ok.  At least I aimed for it.  At least I set it not as a goal but as motivation.

I do set up objectives.  I don't want to call them resolutions because I don't want to and because I don't want to be put in that pot of here's my resolutions and I didn't complete any, some or all of them so; I'm changing the terminology.

Let's just keep it simple.  If they are simple I am more likely to take them seriously if I can actually achieve them.  Lol and to keep it simple I'm going with lucky number 12. Why?  Because there's 12 months so every month I'm responsible for them.

  My objectives:

1.  One book a month! (Number 12!)  This should almost be easy as I'm in a book club so that helps a little.

2.  Volunteer- once a month.  I will look into local organizations to schedule it ahead of time as much as I can so that stays on track!

3.  Organize a week out for posts and more organization for engagement.  I picked up a new planner today, yeah!

4.  Find time for me without guilt on a weekly.

5.  One new recipe weekly!

6.  Finish state park visits! (15-16 left)

7.  Bucketlist items to be done THIS year. (I didn't do any least year)

8.  Water I need to drink more water!! I would love to see the results from actually following through with this.  I need to devise a plan and make myself accountable.

9.  Random act of kindness monthly.  You will only know after its been done. ;)

10.  I would like to become more centered.  Take things less personal,  increase my patience and be more restrained.  This will involve more reflection, mediation and maybe even asking for help on my part.

11.  I would love to continue outside appreciation. Hiking, pictures and exploring!

12. Monthly craft or DIY project.  Remember I did get a couple toys for Christmas!

I would like to think all of these are obtainable but I already know some upcoming changes that are coming and can only think positive and hope for the best that I can stay on track and push through.

I appreciate your encouragement and motivation!

2 more days and its a New Year! Good luck, be safe and have a good year!

What are you most looking forward too this year? A birthday milestone? A trip? Graduation?

2016

It's here.  The new year is here!  Just in case you were sleeping last night.  It happened early this morning around 12:00.  I was looking for something grand.  All I saw were some confetti, lots of partying and fireworks at various places on tv.

I woke up this morning and was surprised with all the high expectations I had of a new start with the new year that I would have been at least 5'7, blonde hair and blue eyes and Ahh with a great rack.  None of this happened.  I'm still 5'3, black hair, brown eyes and the same rack I have had for the last few years.

No magic washed away the old me and no new magic made the world a better place.  I woke up to the same world.  The news will start a clean tally of the cities individual crimes ( I hate that).  First robbery of 2016 in this city and first murder in this city.  I always find that depressing.  Why keep track so we can rejoice at the end if the numbers are lower than the previous year?

Well I don't like to feel left out of the social loop of making resolutions that I can toss away carelessly after I took days and months to make. So I too made some.  I will not brag and say I don't give up on mine.  I like to say mine become more of a intermittent resolution.  Meaning I don't focus on them everyday on a regular basis.

This year I have took a long look at a few things and have narrowed down some areas I want to focus on.

2016 Goal

This is the year to volunteer!
I want to volunteer in a variety of areas and with a variety of organizations!

I want to read more
 - 52 weeks to read a book a week

Create more both with crafting with my kids to DIY projects for myself or as gifts!

My words to live by:
Motivation, determination, inspire, desire and achieve

I would love to make it to Hawaii this year. It's not like I haven't been but I would like to go back.

I look forward to leaping into the beauty world!

I also just want to find satisfaction and peace for my own well being.

I would love to hear some of yours.  I have made some goals on the side.  Some daily, weekly and monthly goals just to give me more to do, lol.

Happy 2016 everyone!!
