It's OK (by me)

I'm going to play along with airingmylaundry today as I tell you what items/events/activities I missed but didn't lose sleep over.

You can find her current post here.

It's OK that I took my son out to play in the puddles last week.  What are rainboots for!

It's also OK that HE has long hair.  He has mentioned now a couple times that he is ready for a haircut so it may be gone soon.  I just wish people would see his monster truck or dinosaur shirt and realize he's a boy.

It's OK that I can't get the buy one take one home deal at Olive Garden still haunts me from weeks ago.

For a little as $12.99 you can buy one take one.  I have never tried that option before but, I will the next time I go!  I choose the Fettuccine Alfredo to eat there and for my to go was the five cheese ziti! It comes to your table at the end of your meal frozen! That ziti was amazing. With some self control I spaced it between two days.  I have however done a lot of math. 12.99 for 2 meals split into 4 days equals $3.25 a day for 4 days!!! That's the cheapest fast food meal EVER!!

It's OK that I'm excited for a new Andi Mack because my daughter likes that show and is counting down.

It's OK that I just wish it was the weekend even though I don't have any plans nor will I probably sleep in.

What are you OK with this week? Feel free to let me know any meal deals I can stretch! What fall show are you waiting for?

  1. I think it's really cool that your son has long hair & that you let him have long hair. My husband has long hair to, his hair grows faster than mine. I love Olive Garden, but my hubby hates it. I saw the commercial tonight & was thinking that the buy 1, take 1 sounds great right now. My daughter likes Andi Mack too. She's in 5th grade, all her friends like it too. Stopping by from the It's okay link up.

  7. Unfortunately, we don't have Olive Garden over here in Europe...So I guess I'll have to be ok with that! I also love your son's hair, it looks great! I'm glad he gets to choose how he wants it. When I was little, my mum chopped off all of mine because she didn't want to deal with the hassle. And I sported this terrible mushroom cut for a few years. Imagine the trauma!

    1. I know your trauma because my mom also did the same thing to me. If I couldn't take care of it and she wasn't going to take care of it. Off it went.

  8. I love your sons hair and all of your okay moments. Your son looks like a boy, I don't see why he's being mistaken for a girl. He is handsome as can be.

  10. I've never heard of Andi Mack... I'll have to see if that's someone my oldest is interested in. There are toys all over my living room right now, and they'll probably stay there until the weekend, cause I'm swamped with work right now, but I'm ok with that!

  13. Ugh, my 4 year old had such long beautiful curls, and it was infuriating that everyone would assume he was a girl because of his hair. Also, playing in the puddles is always so much fun!

  14. Who doesn't love the simple pleasure of splashing in puddles? That was one of my favorite things to do as a kid.

  15. It's ok that I haven't exercised this week, this mommy needs a break, ha-ha. Like the kid's hair.

  16. Love your OK moments. Our biggest expense in this household is food. Whether grocery shopping or eating out, it's always a shock to see how much we spent on food at the end of the month, so I'm always looking for ways to stretch meals and save.

  19. I loved playing in the puddles as a kid. It's so important to let little things go and not stress about them and also not care what others things about it!

  23. Your son looks super cute in long hair. I wish my sons agree to have longer hair but both say no/ And it's OK if they don't want to. I can never stress about this issue :)

  24. It's never wrong for a boy to grow out their hair and it looks cool too. A good hours of sleep during the weekend would still be nice though.

  31. You're right, all those things are okay! I especially agree with the notion that your son deserves to wear his hair however the heck he wants to. We're in a time now where people should feel comfortable being themselves in whatever form that takes!

  32. Omg! I’m actually in love with his hair! How beautiful. Also I truly appreciate your point of view. It is definitely okay 🙌

  33. I often find things just okay, even the worst things happen, because it helps me to be calm and think logically. Because when our minds are cloudy, we can't find the right answer.
