Family fun can happen anywhere. It just has to be 1) an activity or event be done with 2) family.
Even a day out can be all about the family. I checked out and planned my day for the kids today. Free is always a nice thing so I definitely utilized that as my entertainment today!
Today we started out with our favorite once a month activity!
The kids workshop at Homedepot! The project was a periscope. I will admit I had to remove a few nails with this project. Precise nailing was most important today.
After that we made our way to Target! Did you know they were celebrating Dr. Suess at some locations? Lucky for us, our location was one of them.
The kids received some fun activity sheets, sat in some very comfy chairs and heard the story Green Eggs and Ham.
After this a small walk to celebrate 30 years was our next destination.
Happy Birthday AuntieAnnes! We enjoyed celebrating with you!
I not going to ask what the favorite activity of the day was because all I want to hear is spending time together and that may or may not be the answer.
Either way everyone got out of the house, created, ate and even got a dose of enrichment, and imagination from the Dr. I would say it was a good day. Bring on Sunday because it is the day of rest and relax.
I love just spending quality time with my family even if that means we hang out at home and watch movies, read book and play games:)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, we have fun anywhere. Any moment, I spent with my whole family is enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like such fun! I remember doing the kids workshop at Home Depot as a kid and it's really a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great way to spend a free family day! The Home Depot projects look fun, my boys are just too young still but I plan to take them once they hit the right age! We spent all day Saturday outside together getting things done in the yard, and today was spent at my in-laws grilling out in their backyard and playing with the kids.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like such a fun day!! You guys are great parents and this is something they will remember for a long time!!
ReplyDeleteFamily time is the best way to spend a weekend. My girls always liked those Home Depot workshops when they were little. Looks like you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, it seems so hard to get that quality time with family. When my kids were little, I used to wrack my brain trying to think of new, exciting things for us to do, until I realised they didn't CARE what we did, as long as we did it together! Now, the only thing that gets them motivated and moving is food (they are 13 and 10) haha
ReplyDeleteThis look so much fun. The love of a family is life's greatest blessing. Stay blessed!
ReplyDeleteSounds like everyone had a blast! I had no idea Home Depot had kids classes. My nieces would love to go!
